Hi all,

I was looking at getting the M4 as a boot drive to complete my build in the sig. I've done some research about SSD and the benefits, but when ever I look up how to set up a HDD for storage I get confused. I have a 1TB HDD which I would like to store media and documents on and would use my SSD as a boot drive with apps like steam, itunes, office and games im likely to play a lot like bf3.

I cant seem to find a definitive method of allowing windows to automatically store my media to the HDD. What is the best method for doing this?

thanks

Open up Computer, and under "Libraries" if you expand "Documents" and right click "My Documents", then "Properties", then go to the "Location" tab you can change the location of the folder. Do the same for the other folders such as Music, Downloads, Video, etc.... Simples :).

Yup pretty much. Not sure about Origin and iTunes but with the case of Steam you can choose which drive it installs. Choose your HDD, then you can copy the old C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps from your original install into the new steam install. Saves you from redownloading all your games :).

You won't need to remove steam, it's a semi portable program.

I just move mine to D:/steam/ and open the steam exe, it will install itself
