I have to say that since installing this M4 in my new build a couple of weeks ago it's been an awesome bit of kit...however...

Sometimes, and i'm thinking maybe 50% or less, when Win7 has loaded up I get a freeze for about 45 seconds. I'm really not sure what's causing it but I have a feeling that it's related to the M4/RST because while it's doing this the RST icon shows a blue circle instead of a green tick.

I've not get RAID enabled and it's my OS drive.

From reading some info on RST i'm inclined to think that I don't need it installed...does this sound right? Doesn't Win7 have it's own driver that does the same job?

After this initial pause then it's flawless for the rest of the session.

Any help appreciated, thanks.

Go over to their website forum there is a firmware update available in which your problem is mentioned in the fixes

Seems I have the latest firmware, so I used the Intel Registry fix to turn off LPM which *touches wood* so far has fixed it. I've turned it on/off & rebooted about a dozen times today & yesterday and although the RST icon shows the blue donut at startup the system is as responsive as normal.

I agree about if it aint broke. I think my bios could be updated but everything's running sweet now I don't want to risk messing it up or cause myself more time in the settings.
