M5UTE

Maybe it might look cool when it finished but as it is right now it looks pap, what a waste of an M5 :( Why not just go out and get a Ford F50 or whatever it's called with the big 5 litre lump in it if the guy wanted a pick up? Well I know why cause of the badge? :)

Those calling it a waste of an M5...

What is worse?

Turning an M5 into a pickup or owning one and never stretching it's legs?

Just because some one doesn't stretch the legs of a limited run car doesn't mean it cannot be sold to another person who is willing to, or kept mint.

who cares, once you buy a car you can do what you want to it. it's yours!

modifying a 540i or something would have been much more of an effort..

Why's it a waste? It isn't even a rare car... if it was a Bugatti Atlantique I could understand...

I think it's brilliant.

why mod anything, wy not leave everthing stock?

I think it is fantastic, the M5 rocks but its shape is the same any other 5 series and only the engine/suspension etc makes it what it is. Chopping it to a UTE retains all that and makes it different.

But then I love El Caminos

hmm...I'm undecided on this one.

I want to like it, because it's obviously being done very well indeed. But at the end of the day - it's being made because the owner loves "utes" and for no other apparent reason. I don't share the same passion for "utes" and therefore find it very hard to appreciate this for anything other that being a fine bit of engineering.
