Just wondering if gaming on a MAC is possible now that we're able to dual boot windows into the equation.

Anyone who has MAC Gaming experiences, please feel free to post :)

I use my Macbook Pro to play Eve online, it runs fine for me. About the same performance if not better than my desktop which I sold.

There are plenty of games that you can run in OS X itself but as ^^ mentioned, you can dual-boot into Windows and run everything.

Macbook and Mac Mini are pretty useless for modern games, great for slightly older stuff though. The iMac, Macbook Pro and Mac Pro all seem pretty well equiped to handle new games (unless you're some anal type who needs everything maxed out at a miilion frames per second).

been playing bf2 on my macbook pro at 1024x786 with everything set to low and its perfectly playable. i'm sure it will do better though just haven't had time to play about with it.

I dual boot XP on my MacBook and the following play very well

Battlefield 1942 with Desert Combat Mod
Quake 3
Wolfenstien E.T.
Counterstrike
Condition Zero
Day of Defeat
Unreal Tournament

I know there all last gen games but they all play with mid to high settings and most importantly GOOD FUN. I love my MacBook and glad i chose it over a MacBook Pro as it is smaller sexier and everything a laptop should be, If i want to play Current or Next Gen games I have my main rig, a perfect combo for me :)

Running CS:S, Quake 4, BF2142, CoH on my 24" iMac without problems, does very well even at the insanely high res of 1920x1600 or whatever it is.

No problems with macbook pro 2.33 core 2 duo. Using bootcamp, I get over 60 fps av on cs office in CS:S, with 1440 x 900 and full detail settings etc... Militia is another story, but most common and popular levels run better than on my 6800 Ultra P4 rig which is a little old now.
