Mac, how do I...?

I've just repartioned my drive on my macbook to a 16gb OS partition and the rest for data. I want to put all my music, parallels images, photos etc. preferably even my desktop too, on my data drive and have the OS point to them? Is this possible? Cheers.

I partitioned it using the built in volume manager when I reinstalled OSX, haven't yet found a way to point my desktop etc. to the second volume. ITunes is ok as you can point it to your music and tell it to leave the music where it is but I haven't found out how to repoint my desktop etc.

Nice one, both sensible ways of doing it, I prefer modifing the fstab entry as it seems more static than a symlink though I don't see an fstab in /etc/?
