Mac mini display problems (DDC)

I have a KVM switch which confuses the hell out of my Mac Mini's monitor detection. I've tried Googling but can find no solution other than buy a different KVM.

Anyone got any ideas? I'm guessing it's the DDC signal which is causing the problem.

SMC update applied. No cigar I'm afraid. At least I know how fast the CPU fan can run now. :D

(actually, if anyone knows a way to adjust the CPU fan speed, I'd like to know about that too).

All I know is that sometimes after heavy usage over a long time the fan can be prone to speed up more "eagerly".

A reset of the PMU can sort out a misbehaving mini

I don't mind if the fan speeds up more eagerly. In fact, it might remove the hotspot above the DVI adapter. There's enough noise in this room that a few extra RPM isn't going to make much difference. :)

Hi

the below app was originally posted by Andy C in another thread but might help you out:-

http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/

it allows you to controll mac's, linux and windows machines with just one keybaord and mouse.

Cheers

Posted by me actually, but nevermind ;)

My Mini seems to hate both the KVM's I've tried it with so I ended up using S2. I would like to be able to use the Mini over DVI (VGA @ 1920x1200 isn't good) but I can't find a KVM that'll do 1920x1200.
