Mac OSx Question

Hi guys,

May be a stupid question. Need to reinstall OSx on a Mac as the computer is awfully slow and I'm looking to do a straight format and reinstall, but in regards to applications and drivers etc, do they install from the OS or am i looking at endless problems with a fresh install?

The OS disc will install everything you need for the hardware. Though if you have various peripherals that required you to hunt down and install drivers for them, you'll have to do that again.
