Mac Pro pricing - quick favour...

Hi,

Would some kind individual please get me the HE discount price for the base spec quad core mac pro with the HD up to 1Gb and with 2 x GT 120s.

I take it 2 x 120GTs would be better than 1 x 4870?

Base quad mac pro with 1TB disk and 2 x GT 120s is £1,762.95 incl. VAT.

Only advantage in 2 graphics cards is if you want to run 4 monitors. I went for the 4870 myself

That isn't too bad! How do you find yours? Im sure it is a nice piece of kit. I have two monitors here which I plan on using with the mac pro (if i buy). They both have VGA connections. Can I connect both of these to a 4870?

Will need adaptors as are Dual Link DVI and mini-display port connectors.

So I would need a DVI->VGA adapter and a miniport to VGA adapter.

I would guess it would cost around 1800 for that spec then. Tempting to get the credit card out!
