Yup, personal preference is the one and only one that really matters.

Can we keep this vaguely on topic please. :)

Cheers.

Thanks for the guy that pointed out the Intel Driver - when I get my Mac Pro up and running again (new HDD in the post from Apple! GRR!) i'll see if it works.

There is only one reason that matters...

Personal preferance... there is no BEST OS, just the one that fills the needs of a particular user best... for me that is OSX... for now.

Exactly. use what suits you best.

Reading up on the Intel Drivers that have been recommended earlier in the thread as the Mac Pro Motherboard Drivers - it claims to offer the AGP and PCI Support, but its a PCI Express board!

The main problem is that the board doesn't support the PCI Express lanes, meaning it does not use my graphics card to its potential (sticks in 800 x 600, 4 colours).

Would this driver enable the ability to use the GFX Card? (well really enable me to actually install the Nivida drivers for Vista - as this is the last bit of the puzzle to getting my Mac Pro running Vista.

Well!

I just tried doing an install of Vista on Boot Camp on the Mac Pro!

Didn't go well - looks like there aren't the correct drivers - think I will wait till true driver support through Boot Camp before try it again!

After installing Vista on my MacBook, I've managed to get it working quite well. The driver CD created by BootCamp wouldn't run, it kept throwing up the same error towards the end of installation, so after looking on the net, I managed to extract the drivers manually.

From there, it was a simple case of updating the problematic drivers, finally everything seems to be working as it should.
