.mac service

Personally the only thing that I can see it being useful for is the new "back to my mac" Feature that is with leopard / .Mac - that to me made .Mac worth every penny, however the other features are not that useful except a bit of photo sharing with the parents and such.

What's your address WotDa? I'll forward you the mail I sent wush.

Nevermind, this is the link to download them directly.

(Currently re-ripping my whole CD library  )

I like the .Mac account, especially the nice email service. The only thing which was poo was the web hosting. I found the site I uploaded was so so slow to respond compared to my fasthosts one.

So now I just host my website on fasthosts and use .Mac for email and file storage.

Nevermind, I agree.. the Apple servers tend to be slow.

At least my iWeb site is slower than I'd want :(

Find Mail (in the apps folder), right click and select "Show Package Contents"

Navigate to the "Resources" folder and find the app.icn file.

Rename the original, and paste in your new icon (make sure you give it the app.icn name).

Re-launch Mail (May require a reboot) :)

the .icns in the resources folder of Mail.

Try rebooting mail and it will change :)

I subscribed to .Mac for a year. It was alright but I hardly used it and when I did it was slow. You can get a lot more for a lot less from other hosting companies.

The integration with OSX is very good though. I just didnt find it useful.

Rename the one you want to use, ie, App red.icns to app.icns

Find Mail.app in Finder, show package contents > Resources.

Rename the app.icns to orig_app.icns

Drop the renamed app.incs in to the Resources folder.

That, *should* do it.
