Any chance of a 4gb kit being added to the MacBook Pro Memory range?

That's the Mac Pro (desktop) not the MacBook Pro (laptop) :(

Crucial call their 4gb MacBook Pro memory the following:
Crucial.com said:
4GB kit (2GBx2), 200-pin SODIMM, DDR2 PC2-5300 memory module
CT687602
Module Size: 4GB kit (2GBx2)
Package: 200-pin SODIMM
Feature: DDR2 PC2-5300
Specs: DDR2 PC2-5300 • CL=5 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR2-667 • 1.8V • 256Meg x 64

Crucial list it as being £176.24 inc. VAT compared with Apple wanting +£480 to upgrade to 4gb from 2gb  and there seems to already be a fair bit of demand for it in this thread....

Doesn't it only support up to 3gb?

Yeah but if you put 1gb+2GB it wont be dual channel.

If i put in 2x2GB it'll run dual channel but only utilize 3GB.

The new Santa Rosa's run 4gb fine utilizing all 4GB.

Yep, the new Santa Rosa MacBook Pro's that can take 4gb are the 2.2ghz & 2.4ghz ones (compared with the old 2.13gbhz & 2.33ghz ones) - the new MacBook Pro with the Nvidia 8600M GT is the Santa Rosa one (the old ones were ATI X1600).
These new Santa Rosa MacBook Pro's have 2 200-pin SODIMM slots, and take DDR2 PC2-5300 with a maximum of 2GB per slot (2*2GB = 4GB).
