I'm getting a caddy that I will use an external hard drive. I'm not really sure how eSATA works. Its a connection right? - Sort of an alternative to Firewire of USB?

My Macbook doesnt have an eSATA port (as far as I am aware), so is there any way I can make use of the 1.5GHz/sec speed of it, or do I have to settle for a USB or Firewire caddy?

A USB caddy would be way too slow, but I cant seem to find any SATA 2.5" Firewire caddy's. What should I do?
