Macbook camera not working

I have a 3 year old macbook, it has a camera above the screen, I cant seem to be able to get it to work in photo booth or anything else, it just says camera not connected.

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Try resetting the PRAM?

i am trying that, pressing the apple key, alt, p and r just after switching on, swithing on with buttons pressed etc and it just boots as normal!

My MBP has the same problem. Used to work then one day didn't. Just tried the PRAM thing, no difference.

Jamoor, are you making sure you are holding all the buttons before the grey boot up screen? It appears, then goes off, as if it's turned off then comes back and boots as normal.

Hi, there was a firmware password, reset all that managed to do the pram and it still doesn't work
