I got myself a 160GB HDD today. Ran it in an Icy Box 2.5" SATA enclosure and then used Superduper to copy all files over.
I then unscrewed everything from my MacBook and removed the original HDD but only to realised they used a freaking 2.4mm star/allen key screw!
So I couldn't remove it until I go out to B&Q tomorrow and get a set to remove it.
Anyway, I slot the original HDD back (till it fits snuggly) and screwed all plates back properly. Boot it up and guess what!? I can't find the HDD
It kept flashing a folder in the bootscreen.
I had removed and refit all again.
Failed.
Luckily I've superduper-ed the 160HDD, put it back into the enclosure and now I've booted my OS via USB2.0 (it's slow)
Well basically, anyone have any idea what happened? I'm hoping the HDD isn't dead or anything. Will be switching the original HDD into the enclosure as a backup drive...
