Hi all,
Apologies if this has been covered before - I couldn't find it.
I've purchased a 250Gb drive for my macbook - all instructions concerning the upgrade suggest I should use superduper to backup my existing drive to the new one in an enclosure - but, I don't have an enclosure yet. Therefore, I was wondering if there was anyway I could dump the image onto an external usb hdd and then swap the internal drives and re-install the image on to the new drive from that external usb hdd. I hope that makes sense :)

Thanks for looking and providing such a wealth information for an aging lurker/switcher :)

just hasn't arrived yet (and could be a while based on my incoherent postman) & wanted to get going :)
I'm thinking I could use superduper (I'm still on Tiger) to backup the drive to a USB HDD, then I can put in the new drive install Tiger from scratch, then install superduper and then restore the backup to the new drive - would that work?

thanks
