Macbook pro 13 too small?

I recently purchased the 13 MBP, I would have liked the 15 MBP but again it was all down to budget. For everyday use I have found it (the screen) a bit small. However I was prev using a 24 widescreen monitor on a PC so just a matter of getting used to it.

I have yet to get used to it so I feel it will improve. Hopefully. For portability it is great. I slip it into a silicone sleeve I purchased from the pound shop....

I would wait until the refresh and go aheaad and get one, but it seems the older models barely drop in price even then.

I thought the opposite. Before I came to my senses and bought an iMac I was dead set on getting a 15"MBP. I was in the apple store having my first proper hands on, and it was a good 10 mins before I realised I was actually on a 13" machine! Screen just seemed large enough bad very bright etc :)

May I ask if you bought yours from the US and if so what was the process. I will be looking to buy another MBP in Summer, so would poss look to buy a more powerful one and hand this one to the wife.
 
I am on a 13 incher now. Its the most fabulous computer I have ever used. There's plenty of room.

In saying that I am going to get a Macbook Pro 15 as well, but primarily for the slightly faster processor and dedicated graphics for my job. However, I will still continue to use this 13' baby though. It's lovely, so much better than PC shi**.
 
another happy 13" MBP user here, never liked the 15" for portability, and when I am doing any serious work it goes on a 24" monitor.

But times like now where I am sitting on the Sofa just browsing its the perfect size.

15" is nice, but 13" is more convenient on the move, and the extra 2" is not worth the ~£500 price difference.

Get the best of both worlds by going for a 13" and spending the difference on a nice monitor (e.g. Dell U2410 for ~£400). You get greater portability when you're on the move, a much higher resolution screen when you're not, and save an extra £100 to boot! :)
 
Its perfect imo. very portable, has all the connections i need, 8GB RAM and HDD upgrade are very cheap and when im at home i connect it up to my samsung 22" monitor :cool: Its my first Mac and i have to say its a pleasure to use :D
 
+1 MacBook user since late 2008 :)

Love the size and performance of the unit, im gonna get another one when they release the updated models.

Weight of it is not bad , wishing it could be a tad lighter , but size wise it is so portable and the battery life on it is amazing.
 
I also use a 13" MBP as my main computer. I don't really find it too small and the form factor is perfect as I do a lot of travelling. If I had no need for a laptop i would go with an iMac, but otherwise I find the 13" perfect.
 
Does the Air offer anything over the Pro apart from weight. Just thinking that buying the 13" Pro and fitting a SSD would work out about the same price as a 13" Air.
 
The MB air is a stripped out MBP.

Get a MBP and SSD if you want the best of both worlds, and can handle that extra bulk :)
