Hi guys, my brand new 13" seems to have some issues with the camera.

It did it yesterday, saying it isn't connected, and a reboot fixed it. It's just done it again.

It's pretty annoying tbh.

I'm a total mac noob so perhaps there's something I can do to fix it? It shows up as disconnected in Facetime and Skype doesn't see it.

Yeah which is why I assumed it might be me doing something daft.

It starts in Skype, then if I quit that and fire up FaceTime or something else, nothing sees the camera.

If there's not software fixes I can try, I will just take it to Apple.

Does it still work in Skype after facetime and not seeing it or is it a one time thing?

Possible a process is holding onto the camera and not releasing it to new programs? I don't know if a program can do that in OSX though tbh.

Apple would certainly look at it and you would be able to demostrate the problem to them as well.
