Hey guys,

Using my friends Macbook pro at the moment, it's the one before the unibody model.

The battery has never worked, so I've always been running off mains.

Anyway, I just finished watching topgear, closed the lid and unplugged it from the mains, took it upstairs and now it wont boot.

It powers on, and the dvd drive spins, but that's it. I get a power light on the front, which get's brighter when the lid is closed.

Any ideas? :(

edit: Argh, wrong section..

It's my mates macbook so I'm not sure why be didn't get a new battery.. I've left it unplugged for quite a while so I'll check it in a bit.

Thanks for the replies so far :)

Nope, nothing has worked so far. I followed the guide on the apple website about troubleshooting a Macbook that won't boot, but it didn't work.

Argh

Ok thanks :)

Bit of a back story;

My friend bought this mac originally, and damaged it himself. He spilt water on it and killed the battery. He claimed on his insurance and got a new MBP. Fast forward one year, and he lends me the old MBP. It's died on me and I've told him, and he's not happy. He's now saying he's gonna get a price check on it.

To me this sounds like he's gonna get a price for it, and then ask me to pay for it as I "broke" it :o
