What sort of games could a MacBook play, could you just give me a couple of examples please, also what other slim laptops are out there that are cheaper than a MacBook and still good quality ?

I would suggest looking at a 11" or 14" laptop running windows with a i5 + GT 650M min, unless you look at the Gigabyte U244 models.
