I'm heading down the M6 later, from Preston down to J8. Which services have a McDonalds??

Why eat at a service station? They are so expensive. Have something before you leave or when you arrive.

just before j27 standish turnoff - Charnock Richards has a KFC and I think a McD but it may be burger king ... it's been a while

I'm travellin from work, so I gotta ! Are they more expensive the meals in service stations? I thought it was standard price nation-wide?

I think its like a ritual...every time I head to aberdeen I stop at the services over the bridge for a burger king...it breaks up the journey, lets me have a rest and a walk..

There's one in Cheshire - the one that says trucks only, not Knutsford. It's not really trucks only though.

Reading that Wiki, Sandbach services (one closest to me, only down the road) is rated the dirtiest service station in Europe haha.
