Were you able to confirm? I may remove Audacity anyway (it's updated so slowly), but I'd have to find a suitable alternative and I'm not sure if I can be bothered :p

Apart from Siri, I'm not noticing very many real-world changes. The "show folders at the top" when sorting by name is handy though.

Tried it for you. I get one icon only when opening the app. :D

Does anyone else have issues with the file explorer when opening and saving files in programs on their Mac?

I'm constantly 'Saving As' files in Office to make copies and it keeps reverting do the Document root instead of the working folder the file I have open lives in, so the files often ends up getting saved in the wrong location if I'm on autopilot.

Also, often when I go to save files from the web it locks me into the last working folder even though I have the split column expanding folder view selected as the default navigation view.

I have to pick a favourite from the left or a recent folder from the drop down and re-navigate and start all over if I want to go up a level.

It defualts to this locked in version

I need to start over if I want to see the full directory structure and navigate to an upper level folder. I find this wastes so much time. Is there something I can tweak to change this behaviour?

Something that is bugging me to the point where I might downgrade: Finder pops up a dialog complaining it can't find my FreeNAS server despite it being on 24/7 with a static IP and no other OS having issues. I need to go Cmd + K or browse the network for it to show up. Even then it logs me in as guest, despite me "save details to keychain".

Anyone else have an issue with NAS storage, not saving credentials?

There is a newer build of the GM Release now.
No idea what the changes are though, just read about it.
Just have to download from app store and reinstall.
Should show as Build 16A323.

I noticed on my iPhone that Outlook.com is an option now when setting up mail, instead of having to use "add another account". Unsure if this was there before ios10.

Anyway can anyone tell me if adding an account in apple mail has the outlook.com option in Sierra? I'm not sure what the difference between choosing the correct account you have to using add another account is but Im just curious.

Thanks

Out of interest, why fresh install?
Ever since I've owned a Mac, I've always done an upgrade from the previous version of the OS. Some time ago, I decided to do a fresh install to see whether it would make any difference to the performance. It didn't! It ran exactly the same on a fresh install as it had previously. And that's going from my old Mac Pro in 2009 through to when I replaced it with the iMac in 2011 and restored a Time Machine backup.

Every time I turn my iMac on and it gets to the logon screen and I start typing in my password, the whole computer freezes for about 30 seconds. No input allowed, the curser doesn't flash. Then it goes back to normal. It also doesn't wake from sleep, so it spends its time turned on.

I'm hoping this update fixes it, if not I'm tempted to start from scratch to eliminate a hardware issue.

Clean, peace of mind that it's fresh and all tidy with no files left behind. Doesn't take that long to do as most my data is on an external anyway. :)
