How do we know it's definitely the same one? As far as I heard police said it was just similar.
Either way, her being a medium is just a claim, unless she can conclusively prove that she has mystic powers I would class them as an extremely important asset to the investigation, as she could well be associated or in communication with the kidnapper, or perhaps even be involved themselves.
They should come forward and tell the police what they know.

Wherever it came from, looks like it was false.
Police have finished searching the area and have found nothing. I guess that can be seen as good news in a way.
