MAFIA 2?

Hey all, remember what a damn fine game Mafia was? Well I was wondering if there was going to be a sequel, some google searches didn't come up with much other than news posts from 2003 and 2004 about it being cancelled, and then that it was actually going ahead.

Anyone know some more?

I too loved Mafia, great game and very good graphics at the time.

I heard that there was a Mafia 2, Mafia Contracts I think it was called but as far as I know it got cancelled, but that link BloodWolf has put in has given me new hope, although I have heard nothing more about it until then.

The only game coming out which looks as if it could be close to Mafia is LA Noire from Rockstar.

Hmmm. Everyone always bangs on about Mafia. I actually have it nexct to my PC, and once upon a time had it installed, dont think I ever played it all the way through. Might have to give it another go I think.

the one game i really hope gets a sequel, sadly it looks like it never will, perfect blend of storyline and gameplay, i enjoyed playing the game, and the story forced me on anyway as i wanted to know what happened to the characters

I loved Max Payne, sat down and played it through in a weekend, but i just didn't really enjoy MP2 that same, i just couldn't get into it.
One of the big things that put me off, and it is silly i know, is they used a different actor for Max. Kinda ruined the continuity i felt

The actor in the first MP did look like a pansie though. That facial expression - looked like he was tryin to squeeze one out lol.

Started playing it recently was stuck on the race level for like 5 years, no joke was difficult if the game wasn't patched

Heehee yeah that he did, but he also had the element of Cool about him, he was a bit like Lem from the shield with the hair and the funky shirt and stuff.
