Thought I'd do the honours as the game is out in less than a month. Sequel to one of the greatest games of all time!

Latest Trailer: Kick in the Head
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/exclusive-kick-mafia-ii/702414 - just watched this, brilliant trailer. Hopefully gives a clue on how varied the game missions will be. Cool music too!

Born the son of a poor immigrant, Vito is a beaten down Italian American who is trying to secure his piece of the American Dream. Looking to escape the life of poverty that consumed his childhood, Vito is soon swayed by the lure of power and wealth that a life of Organized Crime can bring.

A petty criminal his whole life, Vito, along with his childhood friend, Joe, will descend into the world of Organized Crime. Together, they will work to prove themselves to the Mob as they try to make their names on the streets of a cold and unforgiving city.

Mafia 2 immerses players in the mob underworld of a fictitious late 1940's / early 1950's scenario. The game engages you in a cinematic Hollywood movie experience in a living, breathing city, fusing high octane gunplay with white knuckle driving and an engaging narrative

Who's getting this? Should be pretty fantastic SP, but will it live up to the first?! :)

Loved the first one, played it to death and back, so this was a certain purchase for me - placed my pre order today actually.

I hated the godfather II (i was hoping that it would good until this arrived though it wasn't) but i'm really looking forward to this which looks much better and if it's anything like the original then it'll be really good.

I just noticed the Demo which will be out on the 10th so will definitely be downloading that mainly to see if the game is any good plus to get an indication of how well it'll run on my PC

I hope there'll be support for the Xbox 360 controller. I know that might sound strange that I'd buy it on PC and then use a gamepad but I don't have enough room for a proper keyboard and mouse setup. I wonder how the console versions will fare on the graphical front.

This month's Official Xbox magazine has a review of this and gave it a 7, saying that the cars are more likeable than the actual characters in the story. Wasn't a very favourable review at all.
Given it's heritage though I'll definitely be giving it a chance, I just expected it to get rave reviews - maybe too much is expected of it since it's awesome predecessor was so chock full of awesome-sauce.

Never played the 1st one, but seems like my kinda game so ill definately get this at some point. It does look rather shiny :)

I too have never played the first one but by the looks of things this is going to be excellent. Can't wait to try it out!

I hope they don't mess this up I play the PC original every time I upgrade and then some. I'll be straight on the demo

The first one was brilliant. I have preordered the 360 version. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

I used to be a PC gamer up until I got the PS3 slim last November and just recently the 360S.

Now I prefer playing most games while chilling on the sofa ;)
