as there is dlc i'd wait and see if stuff gets added. mafia 1 had a freeride mode with random little games. one which was really good was to get a car from one side of the city to the other that had the biggest leak you'd ever seen. you had to learn to drive super efficiently and where the closest petrol station is. i'd be shocked if they didn't bother adding something like this in one of the dlc levels.

Maybe play it if you have a half decent PC. Still a fairly good game, and would explain some of your questions although I do agree Mafia II is very flawed.But I still love it purely because of the first one daft I know but hey :p

unfortunatly as they have not mentioned any dlc (that i am aware of) other then the betrayal of jimmy which wasnt great imo as i said in a previous post this game sounded like it could do with some good dlc and now ive played and completed it i stand by my inital feeling, unfortunatly i have now sold on the game and it would take some spectacular dlc for me to purchase it again as the story is so linear with no choices to make to change anything the only thing i could do would be to play it again on hard and i see not point in that.
 
Traded in and will use the credit towards something with more longevity. FYI You can get £25 credit at XXX for this game.

I'm really enjoying this, was never into the GTA type games and this is shallow enough for me. Can't believe I played a game where someone tried to bum me :D

Hand to hand fighting is kinda naff but I'm enjoying the whole story.
 
played through on hard on 360, only problem i had was one of the last missions were your at the docks and fight into the warehouse, took me forever.
 
Haven't got to that bit yet but I've seen this tip....

"Just found a way to help beat the level and it worked. After defeating all the mobsters outside, don't go into the warehouse! Get in your car and drive it into the water off the pier. You won't die, you'll spawn back to the surface. Then the gate to the warehouse will be locked and you can climb the stairs leading to the office and take it from there. It's still tough that way but a lot easier than entering the warehouse itself."
 
meh i don't like cheating or glithces etc to finish if possible. iirc i eventually realised i should use the car to keep the door open :p and when the going gets tuff run out and blow the damn thing up
 
I found this bit the hardest as well. If you place the car by the door it dosn't close but you still can't get out. From the off run straight to the back of the room (taking out two guys) from there you will be underneath the guy throwing grenades. Just hide behind the pillar and wait for the men to come down to the stairs. Still a challenge but a lot easier.
 
i must have tried that part about 25 times before i got it.

i eventually rushed in and up the stairs to the left and into the office before i got killed, then camp away and let them come to you.
 
Finished it and loved it, I thought the end was good. One of my favs this year.

Had to replay the last section twice to get the tough nut and finish the game achieves to unlock. Weirdly I have them all on hard but chapter 14 hasn't unlocked either. So I'm going to have to replay 14 :(

Only thing I didn't like was the level you lose all your money, stupid idea as any work you had done before getting cars was for nothing.
 
Just finished Joes Adventures and it was pretty good. Shame they didn't put more cutscenes in for missions and I was hoping it would carry on Joes story on whether he died or not.

Took me 10 hours to finish the DLC but 2 of those where doing two particularly annoying achievements.

Still 8 hours of gameplay wasn't bad for the money. The DLC is far harder than the main game, Easy on the DLC is comparable to hard on the main game. I finished the main game on hard but had to put the DLC down to easy to survive some of the more annoying missions.

Hope there is a third one next year.
