Hi, for some reason it wont let me post a screenshot on here? wierd. anyways i got a score of 28.7fps on my gtx460. it says that my performance is not optimal. WHATS GOING ON!

That score sounds about right for a res of roughly 1680x1050 with physX enabled, what were you expecting?

its a res of 1440x900 75hz and physX on medium.

Hmm and there was me upset when me 5970 would only give me 67fps at 1920*1200 full detail.

ok just ran another test without physx on and got an average of 57.2. whats the problem with physX??? i thought my card would be able to handle things like this!

Nope, physX is a massive resource hog.

also can any1 tell me why msi afterburner will not let me turn my fan speed to below 40%? its kinda noisy!

I think I got 30 something in the benchmark with all on max, physx high, AA on 1920x1200

The game itself plays fine though

Have you overclocked your card yet?

460's really come into their own when you OC them to 800 (core) and above.

no im a complete noob when it comes to overclocking so i wouldnt know how really.

I avarage about 48fps with 1 5870 and 1 dedicated 8800GTS with all settings maxed out and physx maxed.

1920x1200.
in game though 60+ at all times.... even in physx locations, not all of them though when there is loads of trench coat enemys.

This.

I think the benchmark is way above what usually happens in the game. You may get such an experience once, maybe twice. Apart from that, its pretty light on the effects.

don't believe the mafia II benchmark, in game FPS will be far higher

Download a program called MSI

Run it and you get a nice easy to understand screen

Increase the core clock by roughly 100 mhz

Set the fan control from auto to manual, and set it at 60%

set it to apply OC settings on startup

click the settings box (next to the apply button) and check the boxes that say run at windows startup and minimize on startup, MSI needs to be running to work

Jobs done a moderate OC thats safe and will give you a boost

MSI is very easy to use, all the above will make perfect sense when your looking at it
