As thread title. I'm thinking of checking it out, yes I know it's as old as the sun.

But what the hell deck do you start with and how does it work?

Have at least one friend into this thing. Buy 2 x Starter Decks (Magic 13 is the current edition, I think) - read rules, play game.

Sign rest of life away to making better and better decks. Join gaming club at local games/comic book store. Become single. Cry.

Why has a card game thread been moved to PC Games?

As for the OP, the easiest way is to find a local club and pop along. They're usually friendly enough and they'll help you get started. :)

The IPad game is pretty good, worth giving it a look before you start buying cards. Allows you to try out different styles of play with pre-built decks, and there's a tutorial too.
I just recently sold all my cards for not much money, shame you didn't post before x-mas, i could have sorted you out.

Tbf there is a game on steam :p, i have recently started painting 40k as a hobby and my brother in-law keeps begging me to go to his games club but i just dont know if i could take that leap... being a pc gamer already makes me single..

Real men play top trumps tbfh!

The top trump deck has to be about supercars or pornstars...

Oh and you play it once when your like 12 years old, realise it's dull as #### and move on with your life.

happy new year ;)

It's fun. But steals your cash and time. I gave up when I was 18, due to life. Miss it though. In addiction terms it's life WoW for card games.

Used to play it between the ages of 12 and 16. Still have all my cards bar the valuable ones which I sold when I stopped playing. Have about 3 shoe boxes full, a lot from some of the first expansions.
