Mail and attachment

Ok.

Every time I try to send a friend a attachment from mail to their windows base pc they dont get it as a attachment and I tried everything within mail what the problem?

Is the option on the top of your screen: 'Edit' -> 'Attachments' -> 'Always Send Windows-Friendly Attachments' ticked?

It wast ticked I have just unticked it is that what I need to do?

It should be ticked by default which may explain your problem
