Main difference between fx55 and fx 57?

Its a possibility, but what fool would pay near to what i did for it ? I wouldn't, not for the clawhammer. Whole point of ordering it was because i thought i was getting a newer cpu than what i had, a Winnie 3500.

Just say FX55. I'm sure you'll get your money back, maybe more.

Answer people's questions honestly, but don't advertise that it's a clawhammer.

My mates a registered seller on the auction site so i'll get him to list it on there. Only option for me, it's my fault apparently for not reading up on it as there was plenty of information provided. I dont remember seeing Clawhammer anywhere though. :(

But you couldve returned it under the 7 day distance selling act surely? I didnt think they could refuse
Only if it's in resellable condition, this arguably isn't - many places only take sealed stuff back under the Distance Sellings Act.

Basically because it was opened and used is their reason for saying no I'm stuck with it. Just curious how many people read the code on the cpu before opening the box and how many know what it means ? :(
Let this be a warning to you. My point was that the site didn't say it was a clawhammer and because they removed the listing when it sold i can't prove otherwise. Bloody expensive lesson to learn. Instead of getting a newer more up to date cpu i got older technology. Yes its faster, but that was only part of the reason for ordering it. My next cpu, when i sell the FX on the auction site will be an X2 4400 but not from Ocuk. :D :p

I read somewhere that heat and high voltage can be disasterous for CPU's.
So make sure you don't use too much voltage as it could kill it.

I've just read it and the way I worded it was very bad looked like I was trrying to advise something that was not good.

If it just died on me i would be laughing, but i'm not about to try and break it as i can't afford to buy a a new cpu, let alone whole new rig. Think i'll wait till next pay day and get an X2 4400 the auction the FX55

That's what I would do, but it never stops me overclocking then if it dies at least I've had some fun killing it :D
