Main HDD Question

Hi Chaps,

I’ve got a question about my primary HDD.

At the mo, I’ve got 2 X 7200.10 400Gb’s on raid 0.

I’ve been looking at replacing both these with a single drive, as they seem to run laggy.

I’ve been looking at ether the WD or Seagate 500Gb Drives and also the Raptor 150Gb drive.

I’ve noticed there is currently 2 models of the raptor drive 150Gb around.

Is there any performance difference or is it purely cosmetic?

Also what’s going to be the better drive for my OS?

Its just cosmetic, you pay more for a pretty window.

Use the raptor for your OS as the low access time is more important
