Mains voltage monitor with logging?

Shelly clamps can be +-10% on current.

I subsequently read a facebook comment on the non-zigbee shelly clamp product (which I think is premium/bounding versus tuya) that suggested +-10% , so yes not so good

Shelly EM is not factory calibrated device and on small loads it is quite inaccurate (loads bellow 1A or so). So in whole day cycle depending on loads yes it can accumulate to that error margin you have noticed.

Small update. I received a raspberry pi today so setting up home automation to monitor it the smart plug voltages for a while (hoepfully i'll get that all running by the weekend).
Went overboard with a 16gb pi5 but i'll probably swap that down to the cheaper/cheapest pi5 in a while and repurpose the 16gb model for other things ;)
 
Another small update.
Set up the home automation and was very pleasantly surprised to se the TP-Link P110 smart plugs with power monitoring showed up in it with voltage monitoring which means I have 4 voltage references from them around the house (or will do when I set up the last pair), and it hooks into the API for our inverter and logs the grid voltage from that (although that's only every 5 minutes).

So far in 24 hours the highest the voltage has recorded is 249, normally sitting at around 244 and sometimes dipping to about 235, so the mains voltage is a little high, but still fairly comfortably within the range allowed.

Inquiry, is it still intermittent logging on those devices?
 
If you want an effective self contained system get a Shelly Energy Meter. Can be hardwired into the MCB and can operate on a wifi connection without hub. Accessible via Shelly App and can download raw csv data from the device for further processing. Its basically its own server with a web interface also.

I have a Shelly EM with 2 x 120Amp clamps, one of which monitors supply.

The Shelly smart plugs will also do the same thing if you want but obviously you need to plug it i ln to a socket whcih may not suit your needs.

Where do the clamps go? Had been contemplating running a clamp for the oven as that's quite a chunk of untracked energy. But for a high powered appliance I didn't want something inline like the dishwasher and washing machine have.

Around whatever feed (cable) you what to monitor
 
You can’t actually fit voltage optimisers upstream of the solar anyway because of the way they work.

For them to be installed correctly, they have to be installed like this:

Main head /DNO fuse > meter > (isolator if fitted) > solar > voltage optimisers > house loads.

As part of the rules of connecting generators to the grid, they have to see the true grid voltage because they are meant to shut down if it goes out of spec. If they can’t see the true voltage, they can’t shut down at the appropriate time.

Artisan got absolutely cremated on the comments section for that recent video - totally clueless, I’m surprised if it’s even still up.

OP: As for those installers tell them to ‘do one’ in less polite terms.

Note that it would need to go around the individual conductor, so the line rather than the whole cable that contains line, neutral and earth. You’ll need to split the cable.
