Living at home? Just stick it in an ISA or use it to buy shiny stuff.

I live at home and get the complete bare minimum loan and no grants (damn Father daring to have a job :mad:

). I spend about half of one of the installments of my car insurance and then the rest is just treated like the rest of my money (spent/saved/squandered in varying quantities).

Hijacking this thread, anyone suggest an ISA account thats worth putting these loans into? Whats the minimum you can put in that wont just be a waste of time?

meant, the newer loan system which started in 98 and linked in with the 3k tuition fees

Maintenance loan paid my yearly rent (and I generally lived in the cheaper accommodation on offer). If my parents weren't helping out to give me money for food I'd have struggled.
