 Major Build Problem

I got my E6600, tuniq heatsink, gigabyte ds4, 2gb geil ram, 1950xt today

i just assembled everything together, turn the psu on......and nothing, iv checked again and again, but no lights come on at all, no fans come on either.
The only thing i noticed was a burning smell so i quicky turned it off, it seemed to be coming from the psu but im not enterly sure

I need help, iv built my last rig fine so i dont know whats up with it, the psu is a coolermaster 650w and i used it in pc im on now before i got my new parts.

Im working nightshift tonight and dying to get it to work before i head off. its drivin me mad

i do, though i dont understand how the psu can fail already, it was working earlier today, i took it out one pc into the new one. my old psu doesnt have sata connectors, or pciexpress, so il need to move loadsa stuff about.

Has anyone experienced this before and it was the psu?
im just ******** it incase its the cpu thats fried or somethin

when i 1st switched it on i had gfx in as well, god im ****** off.
how long does it take to get replacements and so on, i can see that iv did nothing wrong at all, and i used an antistatic wrist strap..sooo frustratin

i got a question, if its the cpu thats fried, would the mobo and fans still come on? also if it were the board , would it damage the cpu and gfx card as well? i really dont know what exactly is at fault
