Hi,

I recently decided to download the Windows 7 beta and install it on a partition. I used Acronis to partition my hard drive, which is 500gb in to a 450gb segment and a 50gb segment. This seemed to go ok, as I could then select either 'disk' under 'My Computer'. So far ok.

The problem occurred when I restarted to computer, told it to boot from the disk and install the OS. It came up with the correct screen etc, and I told it to install from the 50gb partition. However, when it tried to restart , it didn't seem to detect the hard drive anymore, and just hangs on the bit when it would usually detect it.

Does anyone have an idea how to get it to detect? I don't care so much about the drive as the photo's and music than is in it!!

Thanks

Sorted the problem now, thanks for the help, discovered the Windows installation process must have got interrupted at some point, corrupting in the hard disk. Reinstalled on top, and now its fine :)
