Only if you stand too close, like some idiot plot device... but the same goes for putting your foot against one's head when shooting it with a pistol, or discharging a pulse rifle burst in confined spaces like a lift.

I haven't read all the replies but the fast closing doors are blast doors, they are meant for containment in an emergency like explosion or hull breach. You would want them to close ASAP.

Except when you and your Wookie co-pilot are being chased by a bunch of Stormtroopers, who radio control to "close the blast doors".... Under those circumstances, you want them to close slow enough that you can heroically return fire while hopping through the last possible gap, leaving said Stormtroopers stuck behind the door and shouting, "Open the blast doors, open the blast doors!!"
