Yesterday and today I've been building and configuring a PC for a mate of mine.
I started work on it when I got home. Put it all together, installed windows etc.
Then today I carried on from where I left off last night. Installed the drivers for the PCI cards, it wanted me to restart it, so I let it.
Then came the problem:
Before the power cycle, the pc froze on me and the screen went onto standby. I tryed turning it off by the power button but nothing (quick press and 3 second). So I had to take out the kettle lead from the PSU.
When I plugged it back in to try it again, the PC turned itself on! Yet it still wont post, give any diagnostic beeps or display anything on the screen. I can't turn it off again either.
I've re-seated the graphics card, put the memory in different slots. Even tryed another PSU. Yet it still does exactly the same.
I think the Motherboard is fubar, but any other suggestions would be most welcome.
