Making a GPU Keyring!

Hiya all,

Recently found my very first GPU... my old XpertVision 8600GT 256MB.

It works but the fan doesn't work, hence the reason I upgraded back in 2008!

Anyways, I am going to make a GPU Keyring!

I will be cooking the card tonight until the GPU Core falls out and then drilling into the corner of the core to make a keyring. Will be doing the same next week with my first CPU I found as well while moving house... AMD Athlon X2 4000+.

Tell me what you think about the idea?

I have a lovely pentium on my keys. just drilled a nice hole in one of the corners. What are you planning to do with the pins on the althon, i can see them bending and falling off here there and everywhere.

Im going to shave them off... don't want to get stabbed everytime I put my hands in my pockets...

I have had a CPU on my key ring for many years now.

It is a Pentium 200MMX that I used to use!

thats awesome... im thinking of doing a couple. i have most my old cpus lying around somewhere

athlon dual and quad
celeron dual
pentium 4 lol

lol very true... anyways, first part complete, got the gpu core off, NOW WHERE IS MY FRIGGIN DRILL

Years and years ago I made a Keyring out of some old memory, I'm pretty sure it was a16mb or 32mb stick of ram. I cut it exactly in half, smoothed off the cut and then put a keyring through the existing hole. The memory stick made two keyrings and I gave my mate the other half.
I must have had it the best part of 15 years now, and it's still going strong.

lol... yea.. i can never use the card again... it played every game I owned as wel (back in 2007 when I got it) hehe

Anyways... I CANNOT FIND MY DRILL... what else could I use to get a hole in the thing?

Still got my 460 and 480 chips on my lorry keys

I was sad enough to record me doing it though, can't link the video due to swearing.
