Making a magazine...

I am soon going to be making my own magazine and i was wondering if there was any programs out there that 'specialized' in this? or if not is there anybody on here who can recommend a program?

Vita-It is a gadget magazine.
Lizard-I was going to use that but i just wanted to see if there was anything better :)

Sidewinder-I wont be it is for my Media GCSE. You can buy it from me if you want :p
Ok now i have the program sorted either Qwark or Indesign.
I need some ideas for stories.
I am atm going to do a 2 page spread on connectivity on the go eg looking at how good iPad's,netbooks,phones are etc for internet browsing,email and games etc whilst on the go.
Good story or has anyone got any other ideas?
Windows v Mac? etc
 
Look at the latest stories around at the moment.

Perhaps cover the new Samsung Galaxy Android Tab and compare it with the iPad?
Review a a new graphics card?
Discuss Android and compare it with Apple?
Also, the new Windows smartphones are coming out now - perhaps review them?

Just choose something you know a lot about. Pointless doing those PC V Mac things because they always end up as a draw anyway, or you end up with an article horrifically biased one way or the other. I like the sound of the connectivity on the go, maybe you could do something like test various browsers and give your opinion on which is best in terms of features, speed, plugins etc?

Thanks mate i will have a look at them although i am really getting in to my original story. Well i am thinking of getting a ipad/galaxy so i will be doing research either way :)

Yeh i thought it was quite a cool idea considering there is great apps like Dropbox etc around now and more and more people going to cloud computing :)
Thats a good idea actually mate. I will do a bit of searching on here, surely someone did a poll on what they use etc?
 
erm well it is only a 6 page long magazine lol
Your more than welcome to write a story if you want mate and send it over :) and i will stick it in.
I cant pay you or anything but makes my coursework easier :p
 
Had about 4 jobs come in made in quark this year, InDesign several thousand!

InDesign for the win, etc etc
 
Indesign a lot better then :p, Is it hard to use though? I am looking for the easiest one to use possible but still looking good lol
