and i unscrew my current window (has a crack n scratches all over it) what would be the best method of attaching the new window.

would it be better to just use double sided tape (a really strong one) round the edges or to try and make screw holes in the right places and screw it back on.

Tape the windows down with strong tape to drill the holes. And every time you drill a hole put a screw in. Nice and easy.

I used some no-nails stuff the first time round. This time I plan on using screws, easier to change out and just looks better overall.

new problem. the screw holes need to be square. does anyone have any idea how to make these squares on the acrylic ( it uses this rivets kinda thing)

A punch press or a proper die and an arbor press would be the best. Failing that you could look for a metal object that's the right size and shape that you could heat up then melt through the plastic. Failing that you could drill a hole whose diameter is roughly equal to one of the square's sides, then use a much smaller drill, mill, or grinder to cut round "corners" to accommodate the square's corners.

another problem ...is it okay to drill acrylic ... it wont crack or break it or something will it ? and what about cutting it to size? will a saw work or do i need something more professional

Drilling acrylic is usually ok providing you use a good drill and do it slowly. I'd also advise taping over the hole-to-be with masking tape.
