Making HTML e-mails on a Mac

Lo all,

Can anyone tell me how to make (and send) HTML e-mails on a mac. For the life of me I can't find a way to do it in Mail.app and I don't have Entourage.

When ever I try it at the moment I just end up sending the code as text rather than code.

Compose you HTML email in the application of your preference.
Include all styling in the HTML page.
Upload it to your server (if you don't use images you don't need this step).
Open the page in Safari.
Press Apple(Cmd)-I.
The web page will open in Mail.app as a new HTML message.

I've also found I can do it in Thunderbird.
