Are there really any ways you can make yourself money on-line?
Its something I always hear about, but most of the time nothing really works.

Think of something you're good at doing and have expertise in, and open a online shop selling items in that field.

Start slow build up, pay for PPC advertising, build up stock slow or even better drop ship items from importers.

One thing though, you won't get anywhere without a lot of work... unless you are very lucky. Expect to put in hundreds upon hundreds of hours

If you are really lucky and have something truly unique you can make £100,000s per year

I have a sure fire way to make money.. you need to first register at my web site where you will get the exciting details of how for a mere £20 ( cash only ) posted to my PO box you too can learn how to do it! :p

It is no different to making money offline. The principles are the same; be exceptional at something or offer/make something unique, develop a good business out of it, profit.

No black magic - just hard work and intelligence.

If it is going to be quick/require little effort, you won't make money. I guarantee it. In fact, you'll probably lose money.

Gambling, although I don't do this some of my friends have been making a few quid with the free bets you get when joining up.

Far too many lazy people about think they can do well without hard work, sometimes you might get lucky... but generally lazyness makes for a $%^& business.

There are three ways I know of making decent money online:

1) Have an interesting or funny blog with a high readership.
2) Write articles for online magazines.
3) Make your YouTube channel very popular by producing interesting or funny videos regularly.

None of the above is easy and they all take time building up followings. With Number 3 you could get big much faster than the others, but you'd have to be very lucky, or tap into a zeitgeist.

Can make money risk-free if you do matched betting :)

This is just about the only sure fire way of making significant of money around anymore.
Arbing used to be, but not so much any more.

I made ~£1500 since this time last year matched betting, kinda given up now though.

I did that for a while but stopped because it was very very time consuming.

I suppose that goes back to the hard work point that others have mentioned.

Not time consuming at all once you're used to it...

I made £420 on one company in Feb, 5 bets, about 45mins - an hour work in total, lots of worrying around that, but hardly any actual work.

Humm the one ones I can think of that are actually good are:

Coming up with a good blog idea/making said blog and monetising

FOREX trading
