Hi Guys.

I thought it would be a good idea to cross over to the General Discussion side of the Forum as you all seem nice enough.

As you can see from my post count, I'm not a complete beginner, but other than an attempt at techy stuff, i've not really become part of the community, I just thought it would be nice to do that now. after maybe..3 years?

Anyways, My name is Adrian, I'm 24, I live in Barnsley(about 20 minutes from sheffield for those who know, So South Yorkshire)

I am living with my fiance(It is 1 e right?) we have our own little flat, Which for the record I hate and cant wait to move into a nice house and start making babies.

I have a cat, Called Simba, He looks nothing like a lion, He's black and white, But Simba just seemed to suit him.

I am currently unemployed!!!! Which i hate, It's not natural. I feel like i'm wasting my life! I was up until a few weeks ago, Employed by the UNiversity of Sheffield, I was working as a Technician, But unfortunately, It was on a 12 month contract which ran out. I am currently looking for work as a techy! As I love it.

I am studying, I'm half way through semester 3 of my CCNA, Finding the 3rd semester more challenging than the 1st two which were if i'm honest quite easy in comparison. Using CBTnugget videos, aswell as my tutor to make sure everything sinks in. As I want to have CCNA under my belt so badly.

I'm a big music fan, I am currently learning Guitar, I aim to be as good as Matt bellamy one day, haha, Not likely!! My music tastes vary, I can like anything, Muse obviously, But I'm also a big trance fan.

Anyways, I know this was a long post, But Insomnia does that to you.

Hope you've enjoyed reading my life summed up in a few lines, lol.

:)

Are you anywhere near Derby? I had an interview for a job down there which I think I'll accept so I'm just wondering what its like living in that part of the world (I feel a new thread coming nearer the time).
Bar that, hey. I started the CCNA but really couldn't be bothered very quickly so erm....gave up. It was done at an after school thing so probably not the best time to try to do it.

It's a nice enough place, Being from Edinburgh you'll like the weather change!! I lived in Newcastle for just over a year, And it's amazing how much colder it is up north compared to down here. Considering the distance isnt that amazingly far.

As for CCNA, I wanted to learn it at an earlier age, Computers to me seemed to come naturally, I honestly couldnt understand people who couldnt learn it!? hehe, But Networking with computers was a different story with me, And it was the only part of computers I couldnt get to grips with right away. Simple networking I was okay with, Host to host, Router setup that sort of stuff. I'm talkin subnetting etc, lol. Was all over my head at one point. Thankfully thats not the case now.

@Steeps, I have funny cat pictures!! Unfortunately I'm lacking a camera cable. My girlfriend puts all my cables into a box in the bedroom, And that box has networking cables, USB extensions, sata cables, IDE cables, ADSL filters and much more. So i'll have a look in the morning. :D Well worth it, I even have a video somewhere of him spinning in circles chasing a laser pen dot.

And thank you for the warm welcome :)
