Hi,

Run into a few problems making network cables for a new network printer my dad just had delivered.

Put the plastic clippy thing on the end (technical term here) and attached it to the router. Made the one for the printer end (cable is run through the ceiling) and tried to plug it into the printer only for it to not fit?!

Tried a pre-made cable and that fits just fine. Grabbed my bag of plastic clippy things and of the handful I tested non appear to fit the printer or router at all!

Any ideas/suggestions? I thought they were all a standard size?

Done and done - trust me :)

Both me and my dad have checked, rechecked and then had a cuppa! :(

These seem to fractionally too large though? (which would be the opposite of RJ11 iirc?)

think it was a dodgy clip :)

New cable fits, printer has an IP address but it's not on the network?

Thanks for the help though :)
