The betting shops, eg Coral. They offer these 'free' bets in the hope that people will deposit to get the free bet and then continue to deposit if they lose. They are just trying to build customer base, basically it comes out of marketing budget.

Conversely, if you win the bet on the betting exchange, ie betfair, and lose the free bet on coral for example, the loser is the person who bet against you on betfair

For those of you who aren't going to be taken for a mug by trying to beat the bookies, you could try tutoring. I intend to tutor Higher maths and physics starting in this new school year next month.
It won't get me rich, but a couple of hours a week at £15-£20 tax free will be quite nice.
