I've been trying this afternoon to make some footy vids. After working out and playing around with movie maker i'm hoping there's something else i could use instead?.

Everytime i bring a mp3 song in it just stops working an di have to Ctrl,Alt,Del to get rid of it.

So i'm really hoping there's somethng a little better i could use. I was trying unlead movie factory but then worked out that i couldn't save it as avi as i use this for videos off my camcorder.

Can anyone help me out and suggest somethng esle that works please?

Thanks

MovieMaker is actually pretty good for basic stuff, but I think it only works on 2 out of 10 computers.

If it's a one time editing project, a trial of some decent software might be a good idea. Obviously choose one that doesn't add a watermark over your video, but simply limits your time using the software to 30 days.

Adobe Premier any good?

Thanks for the rpely all i want to do is make some footy vids and put some music to them.

But thats where the problem seems to start as soon as i import the mp3 file it seems to lock up etc..

Everything else i want to do seems to work *sighs*

Not tried the adobe one...

I'm currently on a Video Production course, and Final Cut Pro is recognised as the industry favourite for video editing, but the entire DVD package, is very expensive. Adobe Premier is also very good as mentioned already but once again its expensive.

Depends on whether you think it's worth paying for something if you're only going to be using it a couple of times for youtube videos. I don't know of any good freeware/shareware video production suites unfortunately.
