Malaysia

Nice place - I only spent 2 nights there in the hotel opposite Times Square (not sure what it was called now)

Had a chauefuer (sp?) to take me around, went up to the huge casino but didn't get in as it was over 21s and I was only 18 at the time :(.

Chinatown is interesting, so are some of the more residential villages outside KL, lots of weird fruit to try (Duran especially - very nice but it reeks!)

Oh, and 'services' are very cheap also :p

Edit : Don't eat from the food stalls on the street, I was advised not to but decided to when drunk and spent half my time there in bed/toilet :(

Well unless you got some wimpy constitution ;) or never had a curry in your life before I would say try things from the hawker stands. you miss some real treats if you dont. You're in a different curry. eating at McDonalds and burger king your whole time is a real waste. If you dont get up in the morning and go someplace for roti canai or nasi lemak you are missing out, you should be finishing a drinking session with something wierd you dont know how to pronounce washed down with a tea terak.

I worked in KL a few years ago, it is a really nice place. The food is very cheap, but beer is expensive. When I was there I was staying in the Swiss Inn hotel in the middle of Chinatown. The street market in Chinatown is a good place to go to if your looking for a bargain. The night life is good with 24 hour bars. Enjoy yourself when you are over there.

Frome here:http://www.powercords.co.uk/standard.htm

British Standard BS 1363 requires use of a 3-wire grounded and fused plug for all connections to the power mains (including Class II, two wire appliances) British power outlets incorporate shutters on line and neutral contacts to prevent someone from pushing a foreign object into the socket. The plug is rated at 3-13 amps, depending on the fuse. BS 1363 was published in 1962 and since that time it has gradually replaced the earlier standard plugs and sockets (BS 546). It s used throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland, Hong Kong, Malaysia and also in Singapore.

Quick question, is it true they use UK plug sockets. Need to know for DS charging and laptop purposes!

Yup, I brought all my phone charges/electronics here and it's all compatible. :)
