Yes, and it does seem a bit stubborn :)
Load mod (shortcut to fs_game arena) > RA menu screen > MP > Create > select map

At this point should I have any special RA gametypes at the bottom? I also only have a few Q3 maps available, should the RA maps be here? Are there any in the default install? Say I pick one of the first Q3DM maps, couple of bots, >Start, >then dumps me back to menu screen. Help!
 
I've got OSP and some configs around somewhere for a server tho a 'big' server might be better...

Can't make any promises but I'll try to be about.
 
Mate if you go to the trouble of making a server, you decide, anything with CTF and Im there :D

I don't have xfire sorry :) I should get round to getting it sometime but I'm hideously busy at the mo..

Which brings me onto my current problem. I'm afraid I can't make it tonight. I'll def try to get a night soon though. Hope you have fun ;)
 
Cool, got canny little bunch of people in my Xfire account now :)

I'm still getting my head around all the mods etc, but my rail is getting better too :D just not at close range :( thats pretty hard !

Okay lads,
just bought us a 16 slot ventrilo server, 3 months for now just to see how it goes.

ive never run one before so its a little bit of a learning curve for me, but your all free to come and go as you please :) ( well 16 of you at a time ! )

ill buy more slots if i need to though !

my in game name is Terra Firma, the vent server is called Terra Firma
i dont have an IP yet because hotmail is being gay with their 'busy servers' :@

In the meantime, you're welcome to use our teamspeak server :) Usual IP:

87.194.8.32 - default port.

It's probably not as stable as your vent server, but it could be useful until you get your details (damn hotmail) :)
 
FFS just spent 3hrs trying to install Quake 3 again and it just isnt working. I see the start of the id screen (before the actual stamp) and then nothing - just freezes and eventually drops back to desktop...

Getting frustrated - tried twice now :mad:

ive played them all but how you left the best mod of all out i dont know :) threewave capturestrike ownz man but for big boys only :) also use to play cctf but most scared of the grapple :)

the guys at the server provider said they would set it up tomorrow, sunday at the latest, as i said - everyone is welcome as long as your playing Quake 3

ill just buy more slots as we need them tbh

yes its great ive played it for years i even played the padmaps in osp before padman, and ente the creator even sponsored my nascar promoting padman at the begging :) , padman standalone is almost here im always hanging out in padmod irc channel.

but its just so much better !
ive seen a lot of it by watching shaolin's videos etc so i kinda laready ahd the gist of it. anyone else play this as their main mod ?

theres one guy on msn but he says he doesnt set the servers up or something .

edit:can't work it out, but I can connect directly to your Q3:RA IP specified in this thread. So ready for any games now!

all are welcome, as long as its quake 3 !

i will make an AFK chanel, but since its a small 16 slot server ( for now ) i may nudge AFK people out of the server to make room for others.

I only ever used to play cmpa , not pld in while though
 
I quit quake3 a few months ago to play cs:s :(

Seemed to be so many people cheating on quake3 and none of the old good players play anymore.
I think the only servers that were active were the XS4ALL ones.
