mals 'more than I can chew?' mod

I like what I see so far. Keep it going. You're obviously quite good at this sort of thing though.

as soon as there is something to add i will lol.
Still not 100% on what I am going to do with the front panel, other than the basics, suggestions?
not quite sure what you are planning to do with the front panel, got some sketches for us?

Well, I personally like the smooth minimalist look. So I would lean toward power and reset buttons on the left hand side edge of the fascia and usb/audio/firewire on the right so they arent visible on the front of the case.

(sorry for the dodgy paint images, had i been at work i would have used Co-Create :p)
Its difficult to envisage the vented panels with these drawings which dont show the perforations.

On the other hand, I could go with white power and hdd LEDS and silver buttons to match the silver paint areas.

However, a little voice is calling to me and its saying 'pimp it, pimp it'. In which case, I would use the latter but use coloured LEDS, red and or blue CCFLs behind the vents (i have two of each lying around), and some LED effects or a LCD across between the floppy and lower vent.......

I am having tinted plexi with white cathodes in mine.

Looks good malfunkshun, huge improvement!

Cheers Pulse.
No construction has taken place since my last post, but I am hoping to get back to it this week :D

I do, however, have a question.
How accurate are the AMD on die temperature sensors?
Or, does the motherboard make calculations based on what the on-die sensor reports?

They are very accurate, they are actually in the processor itself and mobo sensors won't be as accurate. However my ICFX3200 motherboard was always bang on with CPU temp as read by coretemp 0.95.

Yeah, I know how it goes, I was just curious as to whether or not they are accurate and if the motherboard was processing the reports.

If they are that accurate one is amused. I just ran OCCT overnight to test the cpu temps and they never rose above 34c loaded
