another man flu sufferer here, had it a week now and its really bugging me!

i need a good night sleep for petes sake!!

my coughing and sniffing is annoying my colleagues.

You're colleagues are in bed at night with you? ;)

I get strange colds if I've overdone it a bit that last about 24 hours, but in that time I'm an absolute mess, can barely move, temperature is all over the place and can't stay awake for longer than an hour at a time, but after about 20 hours sleep the next day I'm fine, it's like my body saying ****STOP**** :p

One time at work I needed to do something that day so ended up alternating between sleeping on the floor for a couple of hours to get the energy to do an hours work, then went home and crashed to bed, slept for 14 hours and felt fine the next day.

Weird!

I have only ever had flu once when I was about 12, I spent about 3 days competly out of it. I have had a few colds since then but nothing serious and never been bad enough for it to affect my every day life. I think living in a house which wasnt steralised every day has really helped my immune system.

Earlier this year all my housemates came down with a flu type thing and were ill for about a week with one of their friends staying an extra couple of days because he was so ill. I on the other hand felt a little dizzy and ill for a single day and was completly fine the next day. :D

Tis sometimes annoying though as you never actually have an excuse to get off work or school. :(

i have felt pretty crappy for the last 3 days and haven't really slept at night... but i still go about my day to day life its only a bit of a cold... men are just more hardcore than women, even when it comes down to being ill we dont mess around and do things by half

I thought man flu was the same as bird flu but you can still manage to reverse into a parking space ;)
You just made my water go down the wrong hole.

*gags*

I've never been ill to the point where I couldn't make it into work, especially with things like colds. Had a couple of chest infections but whether I cough at home or at work it hurts just as much so I might as well go to work. I want to be well enough to enjoy my sick days. :p
