Man gets bitten by shark (Warning Graphic!!!)

It's actually a Ruby/Red Finned Shark. Ideally, you should only have one as they do get more agressive towards each other with age. However, if the tank is of a decent size, you may be ok. They are not as agressive as the Red Tailed Black Shark, which you should certainly only have one of.

Also, the RTBS may well dominate a tank in it's later years and only with experience and careful planning should you keep them with other fish. They can and more than likely be very agressive towards certain tank mates. They also grow to a large size (6"+) and are also very full bodied.

Ruby Sharks don't get so big, about 4" as an adult and stay much more slender.

Good luck with those two! Although they do look in excellent condition and the colours are great!

I can't work out what part of your arm that is? It looks like your elbow and bicep area.....but then it's quite hairy up top and really skinny......confused

Presumably the bottom bit is his hand, as it's near the bottom of the tank, leading up to his wrist etc.

As I said I have 3 of them so if there is any aggression then it gets spread out. Its a 55 Gallon tank which has quite a few hiding places but they all seem to spend most of their time in the gap at the top of my tank where the hood is
